Bromeliad

The Bromeliaceae are a family of monocot flowering plants, native mainly to the tropical Americas, with several species found in the American subtropics. Even though they prefer moisture and humidity, they are extremely tolerant of low-moisture conditions and will survive prolonged periods of drought.
